Customer Relationship Management
Customer Relationship Management 101: FAQs
CRM stands for customer relationship management. Some popular CRMs include Zoho, Hubspot, and Zendesk. There are also some CRM platforms specific to certain industries, such as KIPU CRM for medical treatment facilities. Out of all the CRMs, one seems to “rule them all”; Salesforce. Widely regarded as the most comprehensive and customizable, in our experience, Salesforce is the CRM that gives the most “bang for your buck”. Salesforce is CAB Strategies’ CRM of choice.
CRM’s can range widely in price depending on how they need to be organized and how many team members need access. Most have free trials, about a month long, but in most cases these trials restrict many of the most beneficial features of the CRM. Even without restrictions, 30 day trials are not long enough for someone with little or no experience to mold the CRM for the business needs. This is especially the case if the individual working on it also has other responsibilities! Salesforce is our CRM of choice and we would be happy to discuss what potential costs would be involved!
A CRM can do almost anything, and can solve problems you didn’t know you had!! They have very comprehensive reporting features such as CPA (cost per acquisition) tracking, agent or representative performance, department specific reports, and more. Reports can even be automated and sent out individually or to an entire department! They have customizable interfaces that allow you to organize customer information, supplier information, product costs, locations, contact information, and more. A CRM makes these files uniform, and they can be customized to easily and quickly fill out. Instead of complicated spreadsheets with a large margin for human error, CRMs can automate many operations to streamline workflows and improve productivity. You can send quotes, emails, and track conversations and transactions all in one consolidated file that is specific to that customer or organization. A CRM can also be integrated with other types of software to consolidate even more operations! Integrations such as Docusign, CallTrackingMetrics, Microsoft Office, and KIPU (to name a few) can easily be integrated into your CRM. Contact us to schedule a consultation or demo!
We have many years of experience with designing, implementing, maintaining, and modifying Salesforce systems. Our specific expertise focuses on small businesses and contact centers. Most large companies with country or worldwide footprints are able and willing to shell out large amounts of money for huge firms to handle their CRMs and other systems. On the other hand, small businesses do not; that’s where we come in! We will spend time getting to know some information about your business, and will take the time to tailor a demonstration of how we can use a CRM (and our skills with their development) to improve any aspect possible. We can give you information about what other services and integrations may be helpful to incorporate as well, and would be happy to work with you on their implementation. As a small business ourselves, we would love to help you grow!
Our strategy for CRM and other software development will be based on the needs of the business. One of the beautiful things about a CRM is that the system itself does most of the work; you just need someone to design it, implement it, and maintain it. Since the system does most of the work, it is easy to scale to suit the size of any operation. Contact us and we would be happy to develop a strategy for you!
With the customization abilities of most CRMs, you can tailor users on the same system to have different abilities and access different parts of the system, while restricting others. A CRM isn’t limited to one department; you can incorporate many departments and business aspects all into one central place. This makes supervision much easier and eliminates the need for multiple systems of communication (you can communicate internally on a CRM; no need for outside email or phones!).
